inSSIDer (Office)

inSSIDer is a program that can scan the wireless networks that are nearby. This program is very handy to avoid interference that may occur because of other wireless networks present near you.

With inSSIDer, you'll be able to know such information for all wireless networks that are around :

• the wireless network name (SSID) if it's broadcast. If the concerned wireless network is hidden, it still appears in the program, but his name doesn't appear.
• the signal intensity
• the WiFi network channel
• the security with which the wireless network is protected
• the MAC address of the WiFi network
• the standard of the WiFi network (b/g/n/...)
• Etc

The program is able to detect 2.4 GHz wireless networks (the standard frequency for wireless networks), and 5 GHz wireless networks (the new frequency that allows you to enjoy a better transfer rate) if your wireless adapter supports this new frequency.

In short, with this program, you can choose the most appropriate channel for your wireless network and avoid interference and mini-disconnections.

Note : this program was free, but it became a trial version. In addition, the normal version of the program has become paid, but you can use the trial version of inSSIDer Office that can do the same as the normal version which was free previously.
