Panda USB Vaccine is designed to help you protect your computers and USB devices against infections, mainly those introduced via the AutoRun feature in Windows. With its prevention options, it helps you avoid having malicious software automatically run when you insert a USB stick or external disk.
Panda USB Vaccine allows you to vaccinate each USB key you want to secure. Once vaccination is applied, modification or creation of the AutoRun.inf file on the drive is blocked, preventing the automatic execution of malicious programs. This lets you handle your files safely, without your device becoming a vector for infection.
You can also use Panda USB Vaccine to immunize your computer by disabling AutoRun functionality for all connected removable media. This protects you against the automatic execution of potentially dangerous files as soon as an external support (USB stick, hard disk or CD/DVD) is inserted, so you avoid silent, immediate infections.
The program stands out for its simplicity: just a few clicks are needed to apply the desired protection. It can be set to work in the background, automatically vaccinating any new device detected. You benefit from continuous protection without needing to intervene every time you connect a USB stick or another device to your machine.
Warning : If you use VMware Workstation on your computer and you enable automatic vaccination of USB keys, vmware and virtual machines currently running may going to freeze, when you plug an USB key on your computer.
