To be able to temporarily access the remote PC via the VNC protocol, you need to install the corresponding VNC client on your local computer.
To do this, download the same installer from the TightVNC website, then launch it and choose "Custom" again.
This time, click on the icon to the left of "TightVNC Viewer" and click on "Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive" (as in the image below).
For the server (TightVNC Server), choose "Entire feature will be unavailable".
Click on: Install.
In the start menu, you will find the VNC client "TightVNC Viewer" that you just installed on the same PC where you had already installed Moonlight before.
In the "Moonlight" client, click on the name of the remote PC that appears.
Moonlight asks you to enter a code on the host PC.
Leave the Moonlight window open and launch the VNC client "TightVNC Viewer" present in the Windows start menu.
Enter the name of the remote PC (indicated by Moonlight) in the "Remote Host" box of the VNC client (New TightVNC Connection) and click "Connect".
Type the password you set when installing the VNC server (TightVNC Server) and click OK.
The remote PC screen appears with a black background (used intentionally by TightVNC to improve the performance of the remote connection).
As you can see, with this VNC client, you can see the notification displayed on the remote PC by NVIDIA GeForce Experience.
Type the code displayed by Moonlight in the box of this NVIDIA notification and click on the green "Connect" button.
NVIDIA notification disappears.
Important : close the VNC client window (TightVNC Viewer) before continuing this tutorial.
Once the VNC client window is closed, click again on the name of the remote PC displayed by Moonlight (and therefore the padlock has disappeared from its icon).
This time, the list of applications and/or games configured in the "GameStream" feature of NVIDIA GeForce Experience on the remote PC appears.
Click on the desired game. In our case: Shadow Of The Tomb Raider.
The message "Starting Shadow Of The Tomb Raider" appears.
Then, the remote PC screen appears with the desired game launched.
If the game does not appear, wait a few seconds for it to appear.
Note: if the wallpaper is black in your case, it is because you forgot to quit your VNC client (TightVNC Viewer) before launching the game via Moonlight.
As expected, the game works and you didn't need to go anywhere to allow the connection to the remote PC via Moonlight.
