Easily unplug Molex connectors

When you build computers yourself, sometimes some things are a little more complicated.
Recently we had to unplug some Molex connectors and they were plugged in fine.

When Molex connectors are plugged in, they can be almost impossible to unplug.
No matter how hard you pull, the connectors will not separate.

There's no denying that SATA connectors are much more practical. But we don't choose what we use.
In the case of a U.3 connector (which is therefore recent), the power supply of SATA hard drives uses Molex connectors.

To more easily disconnect these Molex connectors, we found a little trick (which proved effective on the 3 Molex connectors that we had to disconnect that day).
To do this, use a bank card or loyalty card using the same format, but preferably a card that you do not use.
Or use the corner opposite the side where the chip is located to avoid damaging the card.
In our case, we were left with a card where the SIM card of our smartphone was located at the time.

Insert the corner of the card into the Molex connector and push all the way in.

Once the corner of the board is pushed into the Molex connector, pull the connectors outward, holding each connector on the short sides only.

Important : what holds the Molex connectors together is a slight line present inside each Molex connector (on the large faces).
It is therefore important to pull on the short sides and NOT tighten the connector on the faces.
