MultiBoot

A multiboot is to install multiple operating systems on the same computer and then offer the choice between them when starting the computer.

Multiboots can be created in different ways (with syslinux, grub, GAG, ...) and allow you to :

  • test a new operating system without removing the old one
  • solve compatibility problems (ex : a program which worked under Win XP and which no longer works since Win 7)
  • use Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, ...) and Windows on the same computer
  • and more
