Malekal Live CD - Live USB

Malekal is a security specialist who has decided to create his own Live CD to disinfect and repair your computer.

The "Malekal Live CD - Live USB" is a standalone Windows PE environment that allows you to troubleshoot your computer when Windows fails to boot, whether due to infection or system corruption. By starting directly from the USB stick or CD, you gain access to a wide range of tools to analyze and repair disk partitions, recover lost or deleted files, and update essential drivers or hardware information. You also benefit from advanced software to test the status of components, diagnose hardware, reset passwords, and manage network settings, all without having to rely on your faulty Windows installation.

Its Live CD is completely free and is available in 5 versions :

1. CD_Live_Malekal.iso (DL via archive.org) : the first version based on the Win7PESE project of ChrisR and JFX
2. Win8PE_x64_EFI.ISO (DL via archive.org) : the second version based on the Win8PESE project of ChrisR and JFX
3. Win10PESE_x64-1607.iso : the third version based on the Win10PESE project of ChrisR and JFX
4. Win10PESE_x64_1703-v2.iso : fourth version based on the Win10PESE project.
5. Live-CD-Malekal.iso (Win 10 v1709) : fifth version based on the Win10PESE project.
6. Malekal-Live-USB-2024-20241008-1.iso (DL via archive.org) : sixth version based on WinXPE project.

In short, whatever version is chosen, the goal is to propose :

• disinfection software, such as : RogueKiller and Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware
• diagnostic software such as OTL and FRST

For the Windows 7 version of the live CD (the first version), you will find :
