In Acronis Mobile, by default you see a blue rectangle with a "Configure" button.
Tap this "Configure" button.
In the "Where to save" step, choose "Computer".
As you can see, to save data from your mobile to your computer, they must be connected to the same network.
Note: if your computer is connected to your Box with a network cable (Ethernet) and your smartphone is connected to the same Box via Wi-Fi, it works too.
It is the same network (same IP addressing).
To find out which network your smartphone is connected to, slide your finger down from the top of your screen twice.
Under the "Wi-Fi" icon, you will see the name of the Wi-Fi network you are connected to appear.
Warning : make sure that your smartphone is connected only via Wi-Fi and not via mobile data.
Indeed, if your smartphone is connected to the Internet via mobile data, you will necessarily be on a different network than the one your computer is connected to.
Once you have made sure that your smartphone and computer are connected to the same network, tap the "Scan QR Code" button.
For the Acronis Mobile app to scan the QR code displayed on your computer, you need to allow it to take photos and videos via your smartphone's camera.
To do this, click "When using the app" when the "Allow Acronis Mobile to take photos and record videos?" popup appears.
Scan the QR code displayed on your computer with your smartphone.
Once the Acronis Mobile app detects this QR code, you will see a message "It looks like you don't have a backup for this device" displayed.
Tap the "Set up a new backup" button displayed.
As you can see, Acronis Mobile allows you to back up your contacts, photos, videos, calendars and messages.
By default, all of these items will be backed up, but you can skip some of them by tapping the corresponding icons.
Then, tap the "Backup" button.
In order for the Acronis Mobile app to back up these different types of data to your computer, several permission popups will appear.
Plain Text
Allow Acronis Mobile to access your calendar? Allow Acronis Mobile to access your contacts? Allow Acronis Mobile to send and view SMS messages? Allow Acronis Mobile to access photos and media on your device?
Answer "Allow" each time.
Then, wait while the backup is running.
Attention: as Acronis Mobile tells you, the initial backup (1st backup) has started and you need to keep the Acronis Mobile app open during this backup.
After that, future backups will be performed in the background.
In the Android notification area, you will see a notification "Acronis Mobile - Backing up...".
On your computer, you will see the message "Backup in progress..." appear and you will notice that the destination folder will be the one configured previously (in the 1st step of this tutorial).
The backup on your smartphone continues.
Once the backup is complete, the status "Backed up successfully" will appear on your smartphone (in Acronis Mobile).
On your computer, in Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office (True Image), you will see a green circle appear with a "V" inside.
