6. Restore your computer from an encrypted local backup

To restore your computer from an encrypted local backup, simply go to the "Restore" tab, then select "Restore from: (drive letter of your external hard drive)".

Then, select the version you want.

Finally, click on the "Restore" button.

Since Windows is part of the backup, a reboot will be required.
Click "Restart" when the "Restart is required" message appears.

Your computer restarts.

Your computer will automatically reboot into Acronis recovery system.
Wait while your computer is restored using the encrypted backup you selected earlier.

Once the restore is complete, your computer will restart automatically.
In the "Activity" tab, you will see the message "Restore to original location successful" appear.

In the "Backup" tab, you will see the message "The last backup was stopped" appear (as after any restore via Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office (True Image)).

After a few minutes, a quick backup of your computer will be performed.

Once the quick backup is complete, the message "The backup operation is complete" will be displayed.

In the "Activity" tab, you will see the message "Backup completed successfully" appear.

Once the quick backup is complete, it will be automatically replicated to Acronis Cloud.

The quick save has been replicated.

In the "Activity" tab, you will see the message "Replication successfully completed to Acronis Cloud" appear.

Go to the "Restore" tab and type the password used for encryption of this backup.

If you choose to restore from your external hard drive, you will see that a new backup version has appeared.

Same for Acronis Cloud.

To view the replicated backup on Acronis Cloud, click the "Browse my data" link in the "Account" section.

If you look at the size and date of this backup stored online, you will notice that it has changed.

Click on this backup and type the password that protects it.

The new version appears.

As before, the saved partitions appear.
